1. About TRADi

TRADi is an online introduction platform and noticeboard operated from New South Wales, Australia. We connect clients, trade and service businesses, subcontractors, workers, and suppliers ("Users").

2. Introductions Only & No Liability for Works

  • Platform Limitation: TRADi is strictly an introduction directory. We do not quote, contract, project-manage, supervise, guarantee, or pay for any physical works.
  • Outside Contracting: All quotes, building contracts, agreements, and payments occur entirely outside of TRADi and are negotiated directly between Users. TRADi is not a party to, nor an agent of, any contract formed between Users.
  • No Warranty: To the maximum extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, TRADi is not liable for the quality, timing, safety, legality, or outcome of any work contracted, nor for any loss, damage, or legal dispute arising from independent dealings between Users.

3. User Due Diligence, Licensing, and ABNs

  • Consumer Responsibility: It is the sole responsibility of the consumer or hiring client to perform due diligence, verify business credibility, review past work, and check references before signing an external contract.
  • Licensing Requirements: Under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW), tradespeople must be licensed to advertise or perform residential building work exceeding $5,000, or any specialist work (including electrical, plumbing, gasfitting, and air-conditioning) regardless of cost.
  • Advertising Compliance: Business, subcontractor, and supplier accounts must provide an accurate Australian Business Number (ABN) or Australian Company Number (ACN). Users warrant that they will accurately display all legal licensing and credential numbers on their profiles as required by Commonwealth, State, and Territory laws.
  • TRADi's Role: TRADi validates basic ABN/ACN text formats for registration purposes but does not verify or monitor the active status of licences, qualifications, trade certificates, or insurance policies.

4. Accounts, Verification, and Subscriptions

  • Security: You must provide accurate registration details and maintain the security of your platform login.
  • Subscriptions: TRADi reserves the right to introduce or modify paid subscription plans, lead-generation fees, or corporate tiers down the track. Any upcoming pricing structures or changes to promotional "founding member" terms will be clearly disclosed to you before billing begins.
  • Third-Party Review Links: If your profile links to or displays aggregate external metrics (such as Google Reviews), you acknowledge that TRADi does not control, vet, or accept liability for the accuracy or moderation of third-party platform data.

5. Acceptable Use & Zero-Tolerance Policy

  • Prohibited Material: You must not post false, misleading, cloned, defamatory, offensive, or unlawful listings.
  • Data Protection: Scraping data, spamming users, or extracting contact details for purposes outside of explicitly discussing a posted project is strictly prohibited.
  • Immediate Deletion Rights: TRADi operates a zero-tolerance policy for fraudulent, malicious, or deceptive behavior. If TRADi reasonably suspects that a profile is fake, compromised, operating with expired or invalid licences, or engaging in harassment, TRADi reserves the right to immediately suspend, restrict, or permanently delete the account without prior notice.
  • Limitation of Claim: If TRADi removes a listing or terminates an account under this section, TRADi is not liable to the User for any resulting loss of business, advertising disruptions, or financial damage.

6. Governing Law and Disconnect

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Users irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining clauses will continue in full force and effect.
